Two Great Reads for a Peaceful Life

We all want more peace in our lives.  Sometimes we just don’t understand how to find it.

Today I want to share two books that have basically changed my life for the better.  Since I’ve read them, I can’t even begin to share the positive changes that have happened in my life.  I have had improved health, shed excess weight, gained more confidence, experienced greater financial abundance, and formed better relationships.  The changes are noticeable by both friends and family.  The changes didn’t happen overnight, and I doubt they would have happened at all without these two amazing books and the transformational program that went along with them.

Healing on your inside

The first book I want to talk about is written by Dr. Bradley Nelson.  He is recognized world-wide as one of the foremost experts in the fields of bioenergetic medicine and energy psychology and has also developed a simple yet powerful self-help method known as “The Body Code,” of which The Emotion Code is a part. Dr. Nelson has taught his healing methods to rave reviews world-wide and has certified thousands of practitioners in over 70 countries. Widely renowned as a speaker and a gifted teacher, he is now making his teachings available to a wider audience. He is married and is the father of seven children. He and his wife Jean live in Southern Utah.

The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson

Tony Robbins says about this book, “I believe that the discoveries in this book can change our understanding of how we store emotional experiences and in so doing, change our lives. The Emotion Code has already changed many lives around the world, and it is my hope that millions more will be led to use this simple tool to heal themselves and their loved ones.”

In this newly revised and expanded edition of The Emotion Code, renowned holistic physician and lecturer Dr. Bradley Nelson skillfully lays bare the inner workings of the subconscious mind. He reveals how emotionally-charged events from your past can still be haunting you in the form of “trapped emotions”―emotional energies that literally inhabit your body. These trapped emotions can fester in your life and body, creating pain, malfunction, and eventual disease. They can also extract a heavy mental and emotional toll on you, impacting how you think, the choices that you make, and the level of success and abundance you are able to achieve. Perhaps most damaging of all, trapped emotional energies can gather around your heart, cutting off your ability to give and receive love.

The Emotion Code is a powerful and simple way to rid yourself of this unseen baggage. Dr. Nelson’s method gives you the tools to identify and release the trapped emotions in your life, eliminating your “emotional baggage,” and opening your heart and body to the positive energies of the world. Filled with real-world examples from many years of clinical practice, The Emotion Code is a distinct and authoritative work that has become a classic on self-healing.

Healing on your outside

Todd Cahill, co-founder of the InsideOut Institute, originally launched Beyond Driven with the express purpose of teaching and equipping others. Through this proven system, his life coaching and leadership training has helped hundreds of people create a 6-figure income by launching and building their own businesses. Todd focuses his energy on guiding people along their journey by creating a step by step plan, designed to help them find and achieve their true purpose.

You vs. You by Todd Michael Cahill

“The greatest battles we face are with ourselves.”

In You vs You, author Todd Cahill starts with a simple premise: As people strive for any improvement in their lives—whether it’s more income, a better relationship, a promotion, a bigger business, or a better body—the most important battles they will face are against themselves. People invite problems into their lives through poor choices, apathy, indecision, arrogance, anxiety, selfishness, and other traits they would rather not discuss but must be addressed.

In this valuable book, Cahill shares what he has learned about these battles that either keep people from success and significance or usher them to victory. As a life coach and leadership trainer, he has taught thousands of people these lessons, and many of them are now experiencing a level of personal achievement, relational abundance, and financial freedom they never thought possible.

People often self-sabotage if they’re not mindful, wise, and willing. Cahill reinforces the idea that readers can choose today to fight against who they once were (or are) and become who they are made to be. You vs You is about that choice and the challenging, rewarding quest that ensues.

The best way to benefit from both

The InsideOut Institute uses both of these books to develop entrepreneurs, transformational coaches, and healers into the best version of themselves.  I’m currently attending the InsideOut Institute and we are on a mission to heal the world and are already doing this at rapid speed.

There are multiple membership options ranging from a monthly membership, a mid range program, and even a partnership program where graduates can work along side the coaches, healers, and IOI staff.  If you are interested in learning more about the InsideOut Institute, there is a free webinar you can attend (I’d appreciate it if you put Sue Pine in as the person who referred you).  It will definitely be worth the time to watch it.

It takes dedication and perseverance to transform from the current you to the best version of you.  Even if you feel pretty okay where you are, you know there is something deep down inside that could be better.  I challenge you to check out the books and the InsideOut Institute.  It may be the most important decision you’ve ever made.

Find your purpose – find your joy.

  1. Thanks, Sue, for introducing me to these two titles.

I am a big believer in reading to educate. There are books that have the power to transform our lives and these two fit into this category. I will have to read both before I can reach a more detailed conclusion.

You vs. You gets the first nod because we are often our worse enemy. We are schooled in everything that destroys our true purpose. It’s important to realize this as early as possible to begin the “cleaning” process.

Emotional baggage is another destroyer of personality and dreams, not to forget the damage it does to families and society.

  2. Reading is important for me and I am always buying books. Seemingly, I can’t fall asleep at night without reading. I just love to cuddle up with a good book. I am always open to books with great suggestions, with words of wisdom to transform and bring out the best in me. I would like to read both books, but will definitely start with “You vs You.” Are they available in kindle?

  3. Hi, Sue! I haven’t read either of these two books yet, but after your description and presentation, I agree that both books are a “must-read”. If we want to be fully balanced, it is important to heal on our inside and heal on our outside. I, too, have already discovered a great deal of wisdom in books, so I agree that books are a treasure trove of knowledge that is available to us all the time, they just need to be opened. Thanks for presenting these two books, which I will definitely be reading.
I wish you all the best

  4. Sue, I love the information that you have provided here. I think I need to read those two books. I love reading every night. So, I wonder if I can find them on the Nook? I’ll have to look tonight. This article has opened my eyes about how healing from the inside out is so important.

I just wanted to inform you that I clicked on your webinar link and it didn’t work. Do you have the working webinar and is it still free? Also, I will be checking out those two books as well. My children have a kindle and I have a nook. Do you know if the books are on Nook? (The Barnes and Noble device..lol)

Either way, thank you for sharing this information. I enjoyed reading this article. Have a great day!

      – Lana Nelson, CBCP –

With Her Groundbreaking new book, “The Food Codes,” Lana Nelson has put into print a way of living and relating to food that has been desperately needed for as long as people have been around. You don’t have to wonder anymore about what to eat. You don’t have to be pulled this way and that way by the constantly changing ideas of science (and your friends opinions) about what foods are good for you and what foods are not. You can simply ask. In The Food Codes, Lana Nelson makes the abstract idea of communicating with your own subconscious mind simple and concrete. Imagine. Your food needs, what’s good for you and what’s bad for you, are different from my food needs. Everyone is different, and that’s what makes “The Food Codes” so eminently useful. So, you can stop listening to everyone else, change your relationship with food entirely, and start eating what your body really wants and needs.

  5. Hi Sue!!

Thank you for this extremely informative and helpful post!  I am definitely going to add these 2 books to my Must Read List!  We ALL strive for peace in our lives, and you are so correct in stating that our biggest battles are usually with ourselves – I really believe that many times, we are our own worst enemy!  This is definitely my case, growing up with an abusive and overbearing father.  In reading The Emotion Code, hopefully I will FINALLY find a way to “cut my heart free” from this emotional baggage I have carried my whole life, and find emotional peace within myself!  Looking back at my childhood, I realize that it has made me a stronger person, and a perfectionist – I am always striving to reach for the stars and better myself.

In reading You Vs You, I hope to gain knowledge of how to let go of the past. I want to look forward to the “future me” as a person with more confidence in myself, and realize that I hold the key to making my future a much more successful,  happy and peaceful one!!

Thanks again for this awesome post – I wish you all the best, and much peace in your life!!
